Clean Sweep for GroupM Agencies in Global December R3 2021 New Business Rankings

MediaCom, Mindshare and Wavemaker cap the year with high marks across each region
New York (February 4, 2022) — GroupM, WPP’s media investment group, today announces that MediaCom, Mindshare and Wavemaker have ranked as the top three agencies, respectively, in the Global/December 2021 R3 “Media Agencies” New Business League table, capping one of the busiest years for new business in recent memory.
In addition to the global rankings, these three agencies saw big finishes across every region in which they operate. In APAC, Mindshare ranked first, MediaCom second and Wavemaker third. Within the region, Mindshare finished first, Wavemaker second and MediaCom fifth in China while, in India, Mindshare finished first while Wavemaker ranked second. The rankings showed that, in Europe, Wavemaker ranked second while MediaCom ranked third and, in the U.K., Mindshare ranked second.
For the U.S., all three agencies had big years: MediaCom ranked second while Mindshare won five of the 10 biggest U.S. media accounts up for grabs last year. Wavemaker also won many
‘new economy’ brands including Coinbase, Square, and TikTok Business. In LATAM, MediaCom ranked second while Mindshare finished fifth.
